I used to buy socks in Ft. Payne, former sock capital of the world for 1-2 dollars per pair.
Then I took a spell of frustration with high cost of socks.
A few years ago, I started buying Darn Tough socks. Lifetime warranty with no hassle no questions for replacements.
I am at peace with sock portfolio.

My wife is my sock broker. She decides when to buy and when to unload them. She regularly tells me I need to dump several, but I keep telling her they're still good and might self correct.

I have been considering going back to only argyle socks. This thread pretty much cements this.
