A list of positive affirmations can help and inspire you as you create and collect your list of affirmations. There is a lot of information out there on affirmations and how effective they are or even how to create and apply them properly. Yet some people still struggle to come up with affirmations that fit or resonate with them.

Everyone is wired differently and things that resonate with you may not resonate with someone else. In order to help we have created a list of positive affirmations that you can use and take as your own or modify so that they 'ring true' for you. Remember that an affirmation isn't a statement that reflects your current state, an affirmation is a statement that you want and desire to reflect what you want to be. When you see an affirmation it should strike a deep chord that produces a response like: 'Yes! I want to be like that!'.

A list of positive affirmations need to be crafted in such a way as to remove any room for negativity. They may evoke a negative response from your mind. If you find your inner voice saying something like 'yeah, right' or 'whatever', or 'I wish', you can be sure you've touched a nerve in your subconscious. This is a good thing. Ignore that voice or better yet tell it that it is wrong and you are going to affirm your positive statement regardless of any resistance. Acknowledge the resistance and continue affirming with your list of positive affirmations.

    Your mind will be open to conditions that will provide opportunity for your list of positive affirmations to become real so create your affirmations very carefully. Make them clear and precise and make sure they reflect what you really want.

    Be intentional with your affirmations. Spontaneous affirmations spoken under conditions of strong emotion can produce effects that you want to avoid.

    Recite your affirmations repeatedly. Affirmations take time for your subconscious to accept so your list of positive affirmations needs to be revisited on a regular basis.

    Find a time and place that make it easy to form the habit of using affirmations. An MP3 as you go off to sleep is a good idea. Listening to a recording while you commute, write a few of them out during coffee or lunch. You can also purchase software that will flash them for a second or so on your computer screen. Be careful with this one and remember: subliminal's don't work - your mind has to be able to see and process.

    What ever method you choose to use, your list of positive affirmations is going to have an effect. It might be a very strong and quick effect or it might take weeks or months. It all depends on you.
