The difference that a statement can make in the life of a man, woman, or child is nothing short of phenomenal.

Change your mind - change your life!

Creative Visualization

Creative visualization is a necessary part of your affirmation routine. The reason is that your mind does not think in verbal propositions.

It thinks in images.

Visualization is intentionally making mental pictures, images and movies. It is really thinking without words. Your mind thinks this way normally anyway's....

When you think about a tree do you see T-R-E-E spelled out? Or do you see a tall plant green and blowing in the wind? If you are normal, you will 'see' the tree. That's creative visualization.

Is it real?

Visualizing is simply using a natural function of your mind to your own advantage. Thinking in bright, clear moving pictures of what you want to achieve will help to move your subconscious mind into action much quicker than simply reciting affirmations.

Modern researchers contend that the human nervous system can't tell the difference between a vividly imagined experience and a real one! That's why bad dreams will make your heart pound, your body to break out in a sweat or sit you up with a jolt.

The Soviet's proved the effectiveness of visualization back in the 70's. They perfected the technique of mental rehearsal where athletes created mental movies of the exact movements they wanted to have in their particular sport.

Visualization greatly increases the effectiveness of your success program. Up until now affirmations was simply the dull repetition of good statements.

Remember that your subconscious is the part of your mind that is responsible for your habitual behaviour - your automatic behaviour.

By visualizing your success at whatever you desire, you are giving your mind precise instructions that will become automatic actions that are consistent with your mental movie.

Visualization is daydreaming with a purpose.

- Bo Bennet

Automation

Once your visualizations and affirmations take hold - you'll simply go on auto-pilot. There won't be any struggle, any gritting of the teeth, no bearing down, no getting a grip on it, no will power wars.. it'll just happen.

Every successful person has imagined him/herself being successful and doing the things successful people do.

You're the director

The creative part of creative visualizations comes from you. It is up to you to be the director and producer of your own one person movie. You can make it as good as you want...

  • you can be as rich as you want...
  • as fit as you want...
  • as well liked as you want...
  • as confident as you want...
  • you can be anything!
  • In your private visualization world you are what you would like to become and achieve in the outside 'real' world.

The really cool thing about creative visualization is that the cells of your brain, the neurons, line up and change to form new connections while you are visualizing.....

They are then activated whenever you encounter a similar experience to what you've been visualizing. This means that when you are confronted with a situation you will do what you've seen yourself doing in your mind.

    An experiment

You can prove the effectiveness of creative visualization and affirmation to yourself with a simple fun mental experiment....

Say out loud to yourself three times: Lemons are sour.

  • *Yawn*
  • So what? Pretty boring..

Now imagine a big, bright yellow lemon. See yourself getting sharp knife and cutting into the fruit...

... cut it in half .. see the blade slice through it.. see the juice on the counter - on the blade of the knife...

Now do this pick up one lemon half and take a big bite...

    Go on!.... chew it

Any effect? Of course! Your mouth should feel like puckering up and your saliva glands are running....

Do you see the difference? .... Which method do you think will get your subconscious mind's attention the quickest? Simple repetition? or Repetition with visualization?

The best time to do visualization is .... When? There really is no 'best' time. What you want is for your brain to be in a 'theta' or 'alpha' state. It is in these states when you are relaxed that your subconscious mind is most receptive...

You will also find that you are able to visualize much easier and clearer when your mind is in a slower relaxed state. You can put your mind in the optimal state to do creative visualization with brainwave entrainment.

Here's a couple of guidelines for you:

If you find yourself creating fantasy or unrealistic mental movies you are not doing visualization ... you are daydreaming.

    Creative Visualization is 100% realistic.

Creative visualizations should also include action steps. If you have done any reading on this subject you will have the impression that all you have to do is affirm and visualize. Nothing could be further from the truth....

The reality is that these exercises should turn in to automatic actions. Without action nothing will change and nothing will happen. Well - get busy.. start your program get going with some creative visualization.. what are you waiting for?
